Hi guys I hope you can help me. When I try to open a video stream all i get is a box titled external player active with a comment inside the box saying Click ok when playback has ended. This has only happened since updating to Kodi from xbmc.

Well I suspected the update from XBMC to Kodi as the culprit so I did a factory reset and all is well again.
Similar problem. Installed playercorefactory.xml able to stream films (Genesis) and CNN (BBTS) to Chromecast. But later it was "Cannot play link," for films and "External player active...' for others. I uninstalled Kodi. Problem solved. Reinstalled Kodi, reinstalled the XML file. That's the culprit. Same problems. So, does anyone know how to cast from Kodi to Chromecast?
