Problems with my Droid player MX2 made me do a complete factory / clear all data reset.
Then installed DP MX2 Firmware 1.81.
After installation, the players screen now flickers vigorously, my XMBC has disappeared even from Filemanager and Kodi is not installed either.
Followed exact instruction e.g. remove power cable..toothpick etc...
Anybody please help...;-)

Hi, For screen flickering, try going in to your settings/display/ and set hdmi auto detection to off,.
And set a one right for your tv. see if that works.

Are DroidPlayer any help? http://www.droidplayer.co.uk/contacts/

If not, see if you can change the resolution being used, and the refresh rate. After a factory reset you may find the Auto-select HDMI mode type of option has been re-enabled. Look for a Settings area (one or two cogs might be the icon). Now look for a Display/Screen section and look for auto HDMI related options. Turn it off. Change the HDMI mode to 1080 (1920x1080) at 60Hz, then 50Hz, then 720 at 60 and 50. Hopefully one of those won't flicker.

For Kodi, head to http://kodi.tv/download/ and click the ARM APK install link under Android to download it (if you're having problems with the Play Store. After that, something like https://seo-michael.co.uk/tutorial-how-to-install-the-wookie-wizard-for-kodi/ for installing Wookie and you should be OK.
