I would like to start selecting my own favourites in Kodi. Can anyone tell me how to delete the 140+ listing all at once before I can start my own?

I can only find a way to delete the 143 items in favourites individually. Was hoping to do it all at once but nothing in the menu to do that.
Hope someone might have a workaround.

So, no one knows of a way to globally delete all favourites from Kodi?

PS. SS, can you please move this thread to a more relevant one. May be the T8?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Hi,please take a look at this threads, hope you will find your answer here
http://kodi.wiki/view/Favourites
As you can see on this page, you have favourites.xml where all favorites are saved
Here you can see how to locate favourites.xml
http://kodi.wiki/view/Userdata_folder
Please take a note that this type of use is for advanced users only, and you should be careful doing this.
Take a good look at the guides
ES file explorer is one of the apps you can use, it'll be on your device already.
When you find favourites.xml, just delete it and all favourites will be removed.

Thanks,
Also make sure that inside ES file explorer you enable "show hidden files option".
You will be able to see this option when you start ES file explorer, and press menu, then scroll down, and when you see "show hidden files option" you should turn it on,and then you will be able to see userdata folders

Many thanks to you both for your answers. I put them in my archive, digest it and will try it out.
Just to recap, I need to delete the whole favourites.xml folder, not just what's inside it, assume it will be created if I add something to favourites.

For anyone else reading this. I just used the std remote, after highlighting favorites.xml, press menu-select delete all.
The box is the T-8, Kodi 14.2.

I have a M8S Pro, For deleting globally files on the favourites screen, I have found if you go to settings, file manager, profile directory and look for favourites.xml. you can rename this to favourites1.xml ( items on the lisy will still be there ). Now you can go back to your movies app and save to favourites. Kodi will automatically make new favorites folder and it will appear when you click on the star in the lower left hand corner of the home page.

While on the subject of new favorite folder, I find I can only save 7 movies and no more. Question is how can I save more and scroll down the list the same as the original list. That list had over 200 items in it. Thanks in advance
