Default Video Player

Hi

I want to change the default video player on my Qbox android box and want the default to be VLC, i'm hoping this will rectify playing certain videos via Plex that have no sound . I have messed about in many setting but as yet am not able to do it, Has anyone successfully done this or is it not possible

Could you please confirm if you are trying to play media files from File manager ( Files stored on the device ) or using a browser to play the media on it?

I am attempting to play video files via Plex App on the android box . I store all files on a pc with Plex server on it which i find brilliant apart from certain ones which the sound doesn't work.
unless i put them on an SD card and open them via VLC player which is a pain. I put this down to the default video player on the android box.

If I have understood correctly, you want the player to be changed for plex server loaded files on it? Unfortunately, that will default to app functionality and cannot be changed.

@thewelder Might be worth checking if not transcoding videos (or conversely switching to transcoding files if it has been disabled) on the server will make the sound play as expected on your device.
