When I am on android home screen and select Xbmc it opens on Xbmc but after a few seconds it closes and goes back to android home. This can go on for 6 to 8 times or more until the short Xbmc media centre runs and then it will boot. This only seems to have happened after changing from frodo to gotham 13.2 . Is anyone else having this problem and is there a way of reverting back to frodo. Hope someone can advise a fix.

Funnily enough I asked the question a couple of days ago in the Q7 forum about updating. I have just left mine well alone as it is not causing me any problems (only the occasional crash or kick out). I think this is what you could be looking for

Thanks for that I realise now you jogged my memory that I have read this thread and may go back to frodo. However I realized I am not sure if I downloaded gotham from droidbox and maybe it's not compatible so may reinstall and if that dosnt work revert to frodo. Problem for tomorrow I think but thanks for that.

The easiest way to tell whether the Gotham APK came from us or not is whether it had the DroidBOX Wizard add-on preinstalled or not. If you want to try again (if wiping XBMC's data didn't help), then see Gotham XBMC - ONLY FOR X7 & Q7 Devices

Thanks for your reply to my problem. I am trying to set this up for a rented apartment for people who may never have seen Xbmc so I customised for very few options on home page which I would prefer not to loose if I can help it but I am getting a little better at setting it up faster. I do like gotham as it does run better once booted with very few failed scripts. I think the problem may in the skin which I changed to get background images which was confluence mod so when I got Xbmc to run I changed it back to confluence and rebooted and it was almost instant without the Xbmc media centre trailer before boot up. Will boot a few more times to see if problem is solved .
Just an update, changed the skin back to default confluence and Xbmc boots in seconds but i'm back to the android droidbox.co.uk home screen which is a bit boring but boots up very fast and runs very smooth. The droidbox wizard is there but I don't remember using your link to download Xbmc but it works well, some addons like ( Xbmc music ) failed for some reason but that's no big deal. I think I will go with your advise from earlier thread and put my own background picture from sd card until more skins are compatible with gotham.
