Console just arrived, serious issues with SD card, need advice

Just received my rg351p, upon first switch on I get no micro sd card message, checked sd card is in, retry, same message. tried the sd card on my PC, it doesn't see it properly only wants to format it.
Any other sd card I put in either says no micro sd or system failure booting fail (I assume because there's no system files) so the sd card slot does work. but the SD card with the system files on it and the roms does not?
I am not sure what to do at this point, if it came with roms I don't have access to them or any of the system files. I just expected to switch on and start playing, this SD card with the system is just dead, I cant do anything with it, I don't want to format it incase there is something i can actually do.

Two things to try:

A) Reflash the SD card and see if that fixes it.
B) Get another SD card, try flashing it, and see if that fixes it.

Could potentially just be a faulty microSD card.

i could not re-flash the original sd card, it really didn't want to do anything. when i tried to format it the best it would try was 121mb. (so that's pretty broken) .

i had another card and i did format and then flash that card successfully. the instructions were very clear and accurate so thank you for that. and so using that card i have now booted my rg351. so i appreciate the assistance.
i had already sent a support ticket as well, along with this post.
