Just downloaded 14.2 kodi courtesy of droidbox as my orginal xbmc wasn't working properly. All seems to be well now but when I just tried to add some new repositories it won't let me do it. I type the source but then when I go to name it the box underneath it's not letting me type in there and not responding, any ideas??

Ok, try going back to system, then Appearance, then on your right Skin, click on it and change to Confluence . Now it will ask you to save this so say yes, now go back and finish what you where adding in File Manager. Once you've added the source go back and just change it back to the Modded skin.
