Bit of a newbie problem

Hi guys
I have a T8 and I am trying to set up the wifi on it, I am of course being asked for a password, but,when clicking the remote in the password box I don't get a keyboard popping up to put in the password, the remote itself only has numbers, no letters that I can see.. any way to input my password?
