Android 5 (T8-S Plus) - Where can I see notifications?

When I boot up my box I hear the pings & dings of notifications but I can't for the life of me find out where to access them? The traditional pull down quick settings is missing also.

I'm sure I'm on the latest firmware as I've run the OTA app a few times and I says no newer version available.

Sorry if this has been answered before somewhere else I didn't see.

One of the companies that makes the main chips writes the SDK used in our firmware. Once they update their code to include access to the notification area, we'll be putting it in our next update. @shah nissar had some experience with getting the bottom bar in place with a 3rd party app, did you get anywhere with notifications whilst we wait for the new SDK?

Thanks for your quick reply... that's good news it's coming at some point. I'm using an app for soft navigation buttons which is fine, but notifications haven't been able to get to work.
