Hi,

I bought a akaso m8s box to watch movies on my TV, but at the first launch of the box, nothing appear.
I just have a blackscreen.
I tried to plug on my TV (hdmi) and on my computer screen (hdmi) but nothing more.
Do you know anything to fix it ?

Thank you in advance,

Rtxx.

First steps will involve trying a different HDMI lead, a different HDMI socket on the tv and even a different tv.
Check the HDMI cable is fully inserted, both ends.
If you can, you could also experiment with the resolution on the tv in case there is a mismatch.
Does the on light come on the box? On Droidbox supplied boxes it is normally a blue light

Hi,

I have been using my M8S android box for a year or 2 now and never had any issues. I have moved house last week and when the broadband went live I plugged the same M8S box into the same TV and I'm getting NO SIGNAL like there is something wrong with the HDMI lead / ports. I have tried my sky box in all 3 HDMI ports and it works on all 3. I have also tried my M8S box on another TV in the house and it's just the same NO SIGNAL. I've tried my box at my friends house and it comes on straight away. To say I'm at a loss is an understatement. Any advice would be appreciated.

Might be worth asking the supplier of your hardware if they have a recovery image (and AML file and firmware file) you could copy to a memory card. This card could then be used to carry out a blind flash of your FW (don't need to choose any options, just hold down the Restore/Recovery button when turning on, with the card already inserted.
