Addons Dependencies not met / Broken

Hi
Since updating the wizard on my T8 I am getting a lot of addons requesting to be marked broken as the dependencies are not met. I know that the links come and go and that addons are not guaranteed to work
but they worked before the wizard update. have these addons themselves been updated and are now not compatible with Gotham.
Does this mean that it is now time to update to Kodi ?
Anybody else having this problem.

Hi I'm running Gotham and all ok so far. I no Metakkettles has lost some add-ons, and are marked as broken until a fix is found. If you have just ran the wizard may be it didn't install properly. So might be worth trying again(clear data 1st in apps).Also I would use the 1st confluence skin and don't forget to click ok to the message then unplug the cord from the back, wait then back in. After you go back to xbmc wait around 20mins so it updates this add-ons for you.

Hi David. I have ran the wizard several times over the last few days while trying to get login details from SilentlyScreaming.
Finally got logged on and noticed a few new addons on there but some of the old ones like aaalive, hallowtv, robinhood and some movie addons are not working. Just wondered if they are starting to become helix compatible and don't work with gotham.

When you go into AAAtv you have to 1st update then go back out if xbmc then back in and should be fine. Don't no about the others but as I said before some in the Mettalkettles repo are broken and I think RobinHood is one of them. If you go to system then add-ons, then get add-ons and scroll down to Mettalkettle repo(video add-ons) and have a look to see if this us the case. As far as I no up to now its only been the Frodo build of xbmc that has list some add-ons to the dependancies not met.

Sorted. I updated to Kodi Helix and re ran the wizard. all updated ok. ran the kodi keyboard fix and worked a treat. HQzone not logging in again but I am not worried about that now as aaa streams is working again. downloaded bionic tcp app and my network speeds are fixed so maybe no more buffering. I need to know how to change the main screen xbmc button to kodi now.

Good news, not sure you can do that, see what SilentlyScreaming says. You can add a short cut, click the plus sign in the main boot screen, scroll down until you see Kodi and just add a tick. It should now be on you home screen now. Enjoy your box and hoped I help you out.

Re Kodi link, we'll need to replace the launcher APK and adjust the file permissions. Not simple, but link and steps can be provided, send us an e-mail asking for it - [email protected]

Gone back to xbmc and still getting incompatible addons. is there going to be a wizard update with kodi so that the dependancies can be met and the addons work again. Also what is this conflict with AAA streams and TV Addons. You can only have one or the other.

Hi stana, re the aaa conflict, read the thread a couple below your current post. To summarise, the general view is that the aaa people have stolen code and rebadged it as their own. This has upset the rest of the kodi/xbmc developer community and they have retaliated in several ways. In some cases, giving an "us or them" choice between aaa and their addons.

We are still does are test and it shouldn't be long. If you have loads of problems try clearing data again and re- run the wizard.
Also send an email to the office asking if you can have the Kodi build when its avalible. Use the contact us at the bottom of the page.

Hello, I have the XBMC Android T8 box and a couple of weeks ago I noticed the keyboard on the screen was missing all the letters and numbers, I didnt get a chance to do anything as I was going away, however now that I am back, the problem is still there.
Addtionally, I just did an update hoping that would fix the keyboard issue, however all I get now is a huge list of add-ons where dependancies not met. It must be 20-25. It doesnt matter if I click yes or no, they keep popping up whilst I am watching something.
How can I fix the fix board but also the unmet dependancies. I used to watch Hallow Live which was brilliant, but since I updated xbmc, all I get it Hallow Live update when I click on it, and script failed, which I a gutted about as it was the best for me to watch any channels.
Please can someone help. I am too scared to play around with the options as I am still getting to grips with the T8 xbmc box.

hi ive recently updated to kodi on my mix6 and when i do a search the keyboard is blank, i click the keyboard fix and get the script failed message..how do i fix it??

Try going to system, then Appearence , then International, look for keyboard and make sure it set to English qwerty.
Also in android setting make sure in setting the Key board is set up.

in international in appearence i dont have /see a keyboard..
in settings the box is ticked android keyboard (AOSP) english /usa
i cant un tick it either and its not highlited blue

Make sure your setting level is set to expert, that in the bottom left corner.
Then go to keyboard layouts and change to English qwerty.

gone to custum imput styles and i only see dutch and francais.. qwerty
