Hi

Decided to watch a 1080p movie on numerous xbmc addons but the playback is abit jerky. Its fine on 720p though. Has the acceleration option in xbmc have anything to do with it as at present its set to hardware. Is hardware option the correct one or should it be set to software?

Any advice please

Which device is this, which firmware is installed, and can you give an example of a couple of specific streams, so we can try to recreate the problem.
Normally, it should be set to hardware.

Hi

Its the x7 device. Im using the latest 13.2 build you had on blog on your website. I was watching elysium via mashup super search. I think it was a 1080p bluray rip on movreel. Its even worse if you mouse it to a particular time. Goes heavily out of sync.

Also when starting xbmc it kicks me out of xbmc and it does this 2 or 3 times before it fully works. Im using the ace xunity mod skin. Today it kicked me out and when i managed to get it to start it defaulted back to confluence skin so i selected ace xunity mod as its my selected skin and all my customised menu has all gone like its defaulted back to new.

Also for some reason there is an update for the ace unity mod skin but it wont update saying dependencies not met see author.

Try with software instead, just in case it helps.
First I'd try resetting XBMC's data and starting from scratch.
Leave the skin at the default until everything else is all set up and you've tested a few video streams. If all that goes well, then try switching skins.
Re the update for the skin failing, have you tried contacting the skin's (or perhaps more likely the skin mod's) author?

To check for certain which version you're using, head to System>System Info . The exact label differs depending on the skin you're using, but once you get to the right screen, you should see the version reported in blue text above the CPU and Memory usage graphs.
Is the See xbmc.org message a pop-up or some other sort of notification?

I had a similar problem a while ago and followed silentlyscreamings advice as Xbmc would start to boot and then would kick me back to android home screen several times. As it turned out I was using a confluence mod skin which looked very good but ran a short video link of gotham and seemed to crash before it finished and would return me to android. I reverted to default confluence skin which only has android droidbox.co.uk wallpaper but boots up very fast and every time. I followed silentlyscreamings advice and kept my skin and changed the wallpaper.
