there is now a new kodi version 17.2 to patch a security issue I"ve loaded it on the android side of my box no prob but wonder if the libreelec side will get this update,I believe it only affects the subtitles, anyone have any more info about this
I had the same problem of it freezing on the startup screen and not being able to do anything with it but managed to return the box to as was and working fine by flashing the libreelec 7.0.3 firmware just run a search for libreelec 7.0.3 firmware and click on "libreelec update beta" and down...
just to add if you do a search for "factory reset" and open the Not connecting to wifi or ethernet thread scroll down to how to factory reset android box T8,T8S and click on the you tube arrow for a tutorial.I would only do this as a last result as the box will need setting up again.
yeah I have a computer and a tv box in a room a long way from my router so just run one ethernet cable from the router then use a 5 port desktop switch which works a treat.its a TP-Link TL-SF1005D .
I found wi-fi on the V1 not good on LibreELEC but it runs fine with an ethernet connection,if its possible ethernet is best anyway even if it means a long cable.
