I have Kodi 17 with Mega Build Krypton, a favourite Wookie community build and it works fine. I have DBMX, SPMC and CEMC, and also LibreElec, so I have 4 other options if Kodi 17 has problems.

On Samsung 4k TV's you may have to enable UHD colour for each input, in picture options. Not all inputs, depending on the model, will have this option.

Yes, Surely all builds give access to programs running in LibreElec, including LibreElec configurations, and no it can not affect Android. You could make the changeover easier by saving "LibreElec configuration" to favourites

Yes, I can confirm that CEC was turned off. I will continue to reset the resolution to 4K each time I need it.

In Programs, LibreElec configuration, System, scroll down to switch system, reboot to Android. No need to switch skins etc.

I have tried all of the above and if I set the resolution to 4K, with auto resolution off, all video is upscaled to 4K and the input indicates this on my 4K receiver. If I power down and restart it reverts to 1080p every time.

I have set the auto screen resolution to off and manually set the resolution to all 4K resolutions at different times, and it always reverts to 1080p. I have a Samsung 9000 series 55" TV that handles 4K from other sources e.g. BT UHD Box and Xbox one S. Any ideas how to keep the setting at 4K.

I have just updated but could only do it using wifi as the Ethernet was "unable to connect to server". Brilliant now I can dual boot to libreELEC. It's much faster than android.
