Sound but no picture on Phoenix

Hi, I have a 3 year old (ish) kindle fire hd and can watch live football on Phoenix through kodi with no problems at all.
However, my dad has the new kindle fire hd and can get sound only.
Any ideas anyone?
Have been through settings and can't see what I could change.

Please check if specific add on is making problem and not all add ons.

If all add ons makes problem

Please set your box resolution to 1080p

If that doesn't solve the problem

Please clear data and do whole setup again.

@Blanco - If Kodi doesn't show video, head to System>Video and then tap on Settings level until is shows Advanced or Expert. Not select the Acceleration entry, and try turning off/on the various acceleration methods listed there. Failing that, xda-developers.com normally have a good Fire/Fire HD area to ask in.
