Pin code pain

I have somehow managed to set up a pin code which I have to enter every time I switch on the box. I thought this was a good idea, but it's a pain in the neck since I'm the only one who uses the box. How can I deactivate it?

This is how it works on a phone or tablet. See if the same applies to an android tv box? May be worth a try.

once you enter the pin to get past the lock screen, go to settings-device-lock screen-screen security

choose how you want the lock screen to behave. if it was set to use a pin, you will need to enter the pin to get in to change it. Then see if you can set it to off.
