Hello everyone. I have a JUSTOP DROIBOX MXQ V2, I have a problem, I updated the software and now it is left with the blue light, and nothing appears on the screen. I tried with USB_BURNING to try inserting a .img file but my computer does not recognize the device. Can anybody help me? Thank you very much!

Maybe try a factory reset?
If that fails, think you will need to contact Droibox to see if they can reflash your machine. Note this forum is for machines supplied by DROIDBOX - a different company.

Hopefully both lubo1967 and pepi2017telecable are aware already, but you've probably ended up at this forum because Google thought DroidBOX was the same as Droibox. Our community is happy to offer suggestions, but definitely worth speaking to Justop or whoever sold the Droibox device to you if you get stuck - as (rather than here on the forum with the community) DroidBOX do not support other company's hardware.

Hi @ChrisM . Lubo has a duplicate thread going. I asked him the "d" question and he says he definitely has a Droidbox. Maybe close this thread and keep his other one open, which from last nights conversation still appears an open issue (he says he has received a couple of files from Dbx support).

@pepi2017telecable I have done walk throughs on how to flash the mx boxes s905 s805 i think chips i don't keep track i just know that there all the same thing no matter what label or name or model number the part that changes is firmware and it's very important to get the firmware right otherwise there all the same process

You are most likely looking at opening up the box and shorting the pins. But you have to be careful these boxes have wires connected to the lids and it's a board with power going to it and your shorting pins out you have to be aware that the danger of damage that websites don't tell anyone about

I was forced to short my pins even though im a electronics engineering tec I lost my remote control only the down arrow and the 0 key for enter work!

Now I did drop the cover knocking the grey wire off the lid, and I did use a different rom then the right flash to many of the bloody things out there and my box took a few times to get it working with the pc! So mine could be very very rare pile up of bad circumstances but still things to consider when doing it

Make sure your usb to usb is very very very short before you open the box a long usb wont read or will give constant errors!!

Make your own usb cable!

Go over on here on the mxq project website and YouTube channel this goes for even droidboxes with the s905 s805 chips you can get a dual boot libreelec 8 kodi 17 running 100 percent stable without messing with the original box rom voided support it loads a sd or usb with libreelec 8 tells the box to boot up to it done
Remove the usb or sd and it's like you never even did anything to it! !!!

They have guides roms and more. I recommend you use Facebook over there forum i got instant answers on the mxq project on Facebook while the forum 3 weeks after the problem. But my typing does tend to suck :D:p:eek:o_O

Just ask me or anyone else for more details or someone to post links to the previous posts on these subjects @ChrisM we need to organize a giant universal post on this subject and the way to upgrade droidboxes to libreelec 8 kodi 17 since allot of the boxes under the t8 s are the s series of chips that can be so simply made to dual boot without any problems or permanent modification my mxq runs like I never even did libreelec if the sd card is out

Yall could translate my chicken pecked typing:confused::p and also round up the other posts about this

This, vpns, kodi 17 seems to be the biggest problems and topics out! Like my security and vpn post if it was translated and a little easier to read it might be useful plus input from droidbox and others on the subjects

1. First, check which version MXQ Pro you have. For instance, a P212. You can check the version of your box in the About section in the Android settings
2. Follow Steps 1 + 2 here. Pay particular attention to step 2.5 (Terminal Emulator)

https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-5556.html

3. Boot up your box in Android, plug in the SD card you prepared, follow step 2.5 (the Terminal emulator and typing 'reboot update' )
4. The box will reboot itself now and boot from the SD card with LibreElec on it

That is all there is to it. If LibreElec does not work, simply power down the box (or pull the power cabel) remove the SD card and boot the box up again. that will get you back into Android.

Note: You might have an issue with the remote control not working. If that happens; just hook up a keyboard or mouse to it in one of the USB ports and use that.
