Hi guys, when I add an app to my andriod favourites using the +/- button, it appears on the main screen, but after restarting the box it has disappeared again. Is there a limit to the number you can have? Also the said app in this case Stalker STB I enter the userid, password etc and it world fine, but again on a reboot it forgets the login details.

Do you exit Kodi correctly by pressing the "exit" button as opposed to just shutting down the box?
If so, I suggest exiting incorrectly is the cause of your problem.

Hi Nigel,
I do not use Kodi, just the Andriod operating system. I did some more investigating and removed the Reboot from Favorites then added Stalker STB, it looked like it worked, but after a second reboot it disappeared again.

It isn't just added to the bottom of the list? As in navigate to the right of the screen with the cursor buttons, then press down past the last visible icon? You could also drag the list up if you have a controller you can easily move an on screen cursor with.

You could try the Nova launcher which allows 20+ short cuts on its home page.
You can always revert to the original if you don't like it.
Get it from the google play store

Just tried that, installed OK, was able to add an icon to the home page, added in the userid/password ok and it works. Went back to home screen and there is the icon which still works. But when I switch the box off and restart it disappears again. Any ideas?

Just had a thought, I do get an error message as follows unfortunately lighthome has stopped, thought nothing of it as everything still works. But now have starting looking into it and I think that is the app that controls adding Favorites on the home screen, any idea how to fix this?

You will first need to factory reset then do not click on the spinning circle to enter the weather location data. There has been a recent change in the way Yahoo provides weather data to devices using the weather widget. You can read more about the changes and some alternative homescreen apps at https://droidbox.co.uk/blog/whether-weather-will-work/.

Please note that this does not affect the operation of your device in any way other than displaying the weather on the homescreen. Your internet connection will still work fine and you can confirm this as it will show the correct time and date.

I decided to bite the bullet and factory reset as even the new launcher would not work. Now I can get the favourites to work and the settings saved. Currently loading all the other apps.
