I have a T8 S plus which has suddenly developed an "unfortunately Lighthome has stopped working" error.
What does this mean, how can I correct it.

A bit of a pain but have you tried a factory restore? Usually sorts any minor problems out. If you can backup any app data beforehand it could save you time when reinstalling as a restore will wipe your box clean.
Please do a factory reset and do not click on the spinning circle on the homescreen to enter a location. This is what is causing the issue of the homescreen restarting.
