Handheld issues, Hinge, and software

My unit is a 16gb black model. I just got it three days ago and the hinge makes a loud cracking sound when opened fully. Nothing is noticeable broken. Still works 100%

Also it seems that the screen orientation isn't calibrated right since it moves to portrait mode with a slight tilt making it very sensitive. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

If you haven't already, can you send us an e-mail reporting the noisy hinge please? I've heard of them creaking for a while, but just in case anything goes wrong, it would be good for your sake to have an official message in our system mentioning the sound effect
Regarding screen orientation, can you also mention that in the e-mail, we'll ask our resident gamer (aka office PlayON hogger!) to compare his experience and get to the bottom of this.

I fixed the hinge issue, just used a little oil on each side of the plastic. Seems it's the plastic rubbing against plastic that's causing the noise.
Screen orientation is fine too. Not sure why.
