The Circle U Seed Funding Scheme 2025 offers a unique opportunity for students, academics, researchers, and administrative staff within the Circle U alliance to collaborate on impactful projects. This initiative supports cross-university collaboration between at least three partner institutions from across Europe, including universities in Paris, Berlin, London, Louvain, Oslo, Aarhus, Belgrade, Pisa, and Vienna.
Participants are encouraged to propose joint courses, summer schools, student-led events, interdisciplinary workshops, mobility programs, or digital tools that align with the alliance’s goals. The funding offers up to €10,000 for projects led by academic or administrative staff and up to €5,000 for student-led initiatives.
Applications are assessed on several criteria, including academic quality, societal or educational value, interdisciplinary scope, student impact, and inclusivity. Successful projects will begin in January 2026 and will be managed by the applicant's home university.
Interested applicants should prepare their proposals before the 1 October 2025 deadline. Circle U also offers information sessions and internal support to help applicants develop strong, collaborative proposals. This funding scheme fosters creativity, partnership, and innovation, helping build a stronger, more interconnected European education network through meaningful, cross-border initiatives.
