As my title implies I have a MXQ model number SMS01 and it has a digital signage app (Starmont) that won't allow me to uninstall it or even go to the main android home, it doesn't even have google play. What can I do?
Is the box supplied by droidbox?
All android droidboxes come with google play already installed.
If it isnt a dbx my first piece of advice would be to try a factory reset to see if that cleans things up a bit and resets to a clean start. Hopefully you will get back to a default state with whatever apps were installed with the original firmware.
I'm sorry i have no idea what a digital signage app is.
Normally you would uninstall an app from the android settings - apps menu.
How did the app get on the box in the first place?
Check your Settings area (worth going to More Settings if available), for Security then Admin, or similar. If the signage app has any entries, try removing the tick, a reboot for good luck, then try uninstalling the app again.
