alternative update path if OTA update fails for T8 S plus v2 mini?

How do i update my T8 S plus v2 mini, if the OTA method fails?

Presently i have android 6.0.1 installed. NB this is the update step that updates the android system not libreelec etc.

This is what is see... it never changes ... nothing is downloaded...it ends with an http error after a long period.

Is there a file i can download and sideload?

Any advice appreciated.

I haven't seen an update for the T8S plus v2 advertised recently. Certainly nothing that updates android beyond 6. The last update advertised on the Droix blog was in july 2017.
You may already be as up to date as you can be in terms of O/S.
Check the google play store and check you have all the latest app updates.

Settings>Apps or Advanced then Apps>Might need to scroll all the way to the right and look for the OTA app.
Click it.
Clear data.
Confirm you're sure.

It sounds a bit like a problem when an MD5 hash didn't match after an intermediate update was withdrawn.
