Boot the device into OpenELEC then you will be able to just map a drive from your PC and drag and drop files to the internal HDD. Once in OpenELEC the device acts like a NAS. No idea why it doesn't do this in Android ???... at least mine doesn't. Hope this helps.

You need to have the T8-S Plus in OpenElec in order to see the HDD in windows. Don't know why, but that's what I have to do. Once in OpenElec the box acts like a network attached storage device, you ban browse for your box and map a drive. Drive will only work when in OpenElec tho. Hope this...

I have a 500GB SSD in my T8-S Plus, it did used to drop connection occasionally but since I fitted the new cable its been solid. New cable has been in for around 6 weeks now.

I have to admit I love the fact you can have an internal disk, I have fitted a 500GB SSD disk and have found it useful when traveling as you can store items on the disk to watch if your in a place with no internet. And like sean99 said I also keep my backups on the internal disk too.
