Thanks for the info but this just appears to show how to install Kodi to an external storage device which is not quite what I'm trying to do.
Thanks but hidden files are being shown, I'm almost certain that it's just Kodi not having write permissions to the external drive.
Thanks for the reply, I've since done some research and it appears Android Lollipop could be the issue here.
Apparently in Lollipop it appears apps now need permission for write access to write to external drives.
Any idea on how to give Kodi the permissions to write to external drives?
This doesn't sound good, only had my box a couple of weeks & don't want this happening to mine. What steps can I take to avoid it? Don't run OTA update and update the box? Uninstall the games market? (Don't use it anyway)
Can anyone help on recommending SATA hard drives for the T8-S Plus and possibly some links of where to purchase from?
Also, can I use a 2TB hard drive with this device & is it a matter of 'plug and play'? I understand Droidbox offer a 1TB in their shop but would preferably like a 2TB if they...

Thanks David, also looking at the FAQ's there appears to be another updater app, I could well be using the wrong one. I’ll take a closer look when I get home this evening.
Hi all, I’ve owned my Droidbox T8-S Plus a couple of weeks now & thoroughly enjoying it however I seem to get this error when checking for updates on the box;
‘Check Failed! Check your OTA Servier Argent’
Any ideas? Also what is the latest firmware for my box? Want to check if I’m running the...
I use the Royalist build, I find it looks great, runs smooth and is minimal. Has a few select addons which are all decent and with a little bit of tweaking (adding my own addons) it's perfect!
I had the same problem yesterday. Turns out if I had the ethernet cable plugged in and tried connecting via wifi I would get a password incorrect message, disconnected the ethernet and it worked as normal.
