I have given up on the openelec ,nothing but trouble since I got this box a couple of months ago .i just use the android version which I have updated to Jarvis. I only bought this box because it can play h.265 files

cant I just update from image put onto micro sd card.do I have to update this firmware. i have an x7 with no label but model is rk31 sdk 4.2.2 kernel 3.0.36+

thanks angela but after some messing about I got the settings up and switched back to confluence,s wasn't working at first but after numerous reboots it finally got me into setting,phew I have been using kodi for years and never had so much trouble

been using the black nova skin but today the screen froze with skin shortcut error,is there anyway to reset the openelec settings without doing a factory reset .skin loads up but no settings showing just the background screen.you have to goto recovery option to boot back into android as there is...

I will take a look and see if anything looks out of place .the backup was created in windows and I have no experience of openelec systems.i will get back to you ;)

nothing wrong with the backup ,the android version is bang on.my movie, tv, music databases and addon data all installed perfectly.no setup required. openelec just the opposite. i have always used android devices and I am starting to think this openelec version is more trouble than its worth...

I have got my tv and movies libraries setup .today I tried to setup up my music library ,but all menus are blank no matter what option I choose,files ,addons etc not even the option to get more which is on all pages when no addons are installed. so I installed ram 80's just see what was going...

I have all my addons I require from backup so I don't use wizards .I have done the reset elec but this just returns back to as shipped.so I will have to setup up kodi again with my accounts ,tv and movie libraries and keep doing this everytime I want to switch back or go to the recovery option...

thanks qaisir but if you read my post properly,i have already said ,tried the switch back fix you have shown,done the restore to android and also factory reset .once the confluence skin updates the openelec options are not available on the new confluence skin.and I don't want to keep having to...

hi got the box yesterday set up kodi in openelec with the black nova skin no option to revert back to android setting just powers down ,tried the suggested fix of going back to confluence issue still the same only way to get round this was the restore option to boot to android.tried the factory...
